I’m Eli Hinze, author of (mostly) ancient fantasy books with high stakes and romance that has to fight for its place. I write immersive stories shaped by my love of cultural anthropology, myth, realism, and history, all balanced with the wildly fantastical, the gritty with the romantic.

I grew up wanting tales that felt intricate and dangerous and emotionally gutting, but could never find stories that quite fit the bill.

Now, I write them.

My passions are writing, art, and relentless self-improvement. In my free time, I like to read, draw, cook, fall down research rabbit holes, and watch everything from anime to horror movies with my husband.
