I love the level of detail showing what everyday life was probably like in Bronze Age Mesopotamia. I love the ancient Mesopotamian feel of the monsters and world. The characters and their development are carefully thought out. This may sound funny, but I also appreciate that it isn't just another retelling of the Gilgamesh epic (no shade to Gilgamesh, but we need other stories in that setting). My only real complaint is that I have finished book 3 and book 4 isn't out, yet.
